Lloyds Bank Online Banking Merger - Halifax & Bank of Scotland - Issues for Vulnerable Customers

Hi,
I wondered if anyone else has had issues with the above?
I have now been locked out of all my online banking with Lloyds for 22 days, with no resolution, despite many many calls!! It has been explained to me that due to having a marker on my account for domestic violence that there are still ongoing issues for vulnerable customers. I rely on online banking as physically visiting the banking hall is stressful as my perpetrator lives close by.
I have explained this to Lloyds and the Domestic Violence Department are excellent, however they cannot resolve the technical issues. I have raised a complaint today, but still cannot access my account. I am sure that Lloyds Bank will receive compensation from the IT company they are using but will that be shared with customers like myself and others .... I doubt not!!!!

Sorry to hear about the abuse.
I'm sure the Domestic Violence department will have tried this one - would a Post Office be any help at all?
My advice would be to have a non-LBG account if at all possible for backup purposes. Starling, Monzo and Zopa can all be opened very quickly online if you have some photo ID.
I'm quite sure you'll have a very strong case for compensation. LBG look after their software in house so likely won't, if that's any crumb of comfort!2 -
Thank you for the suggestions, very kind. Unfortunately I don't think I can open an online account without being able to transfer money into it, which I can't do! I did suggest to Lloyds today that they should be setting up temporary accounts for those affected until the issue is resolved.0

Are you able to access fund at a Post Office or other Lloyds brand's branch?Elsie1303 said:Thank you for the suggestions, very kind. Lloyds should be able to sort a transfer for you over the phone.Elsie1303 said:Thank you for the suggestions, very kind. If not, you could always withdraw cash at a Post Office and immediately pay it in to this other account. Be sure to choose an account which supports unlimited free Post Office deposits if you do this though, a high street brand (other than Nationwide) might be a better choice.
I can't remember now which high street brands offer immediate online access - can anyone suggest? I have a feeling Barclays might be one if you apply through app. If there is a branch with a brand with a branch you feel comfortable with then pay them a visit ASAP would be my advice.
No harm in having a few options in the circumstances either, plenty on here will have many dozens of current accounts open at any one here, it's not unusual.2
