Water ingress from above patio windows.

Turded. There is an inherent problem here, which simply should not have occurred in an 8-year old hoosie.IF it's simply a case of the patio doors not having been sealed adequately against the wall opening, then fair do's, that's an easy fix. But, I cannot see that as being the issue here. More likely summat was done incorrectly at the time of build, and that needs addressing, not covering.Could you answer, please - who is the building warranty with?0

Thanks again everyone. It is raining heavily here and the water is dripping in. I've enclosed a picture of it and the container that has been there since 0930 this morning. It is nearly half full. With the quantity of water it looks like it must be coming in from somewhere?
The building warranty is with a company called ICW Insurance Services.

Thanks for the update. What are you actually waiting for?! What else do you expect folk to say?You haven't - as far as I know - even told us if you have LegProt :-)

That's a fair bit of water coming through. It could be coming off the end of the tray or lintel and tracking back along the frame.
You'd need to take a few bricks out to see properly.1 -
I was asked who the building warranty company was, which I named in the post above.WIAWSNB said:Scottish_Dorset said:Thanks again everyone. It is raining heavily here and the water is dripping in. Thank you. I have contacted them and quote the following "The policy with ICW is a 10-year structural warranty policy which covers major damage caused by a defect (as defined in the policy) in the structure or waterproof envelope of the property. We have attached a copy of the policy wording for reference."WIAWSNB said:Really good news!ICW are 'reliable, responsive, and robust'.
Can you advise on the procedure to take this forward, bearing in mind I am not sure where the water is coming in from at present.
Also very happy to take advice from those that have gone down this route of going through the structural warranty policy.0 -
Do you have LegProt? If so, call them.
Meanwhile get at least two recommended general builders out to have a look. See if their thoughts concur.
There must surely be a very simple answer to this. The amount of water coming g through is astonishing, and that helps - show them the pics. The next time it rains, take video clips too. Zoom in to show where - exactly - the water is coming in.
And go outside and check that wall for anything 'obvious' going on. Take ditto photos and vids of the outside.1 -

It's coming when it's raining. It's obvious that it's coming from outside of the "waterproof envelope".3
