Kent Reliance sneaky rate withholding

On 11th the interest rate on my savings account is reducing from 4.43% to 4%. As is often the case with KR they introduce new accounts with a higher interest rate than the dropped rate so you either accept it, move your money out or open the new KR savings account.
Last week my online account showed an issue 9 account available at 4.17%. Today it’s no longer shown but it IS available as shown in their available accounts list when not logged in. So I had to go through a tedious account opening process which said we recognise you as a account holder but still made me fill in all my details and select a new account name and password which is two factor authentication. I now have two separate KR log ins.
Wonder why they removed the issue 9 listing from my logged in status since last week? So I’d assume the dropped rate was the best rate they offer? Now moved all but £1 out and asked by message to either show my two accounts together under my previous log in or if not possible close the issue 9 as it annoyingly requires me to request a six digit log in code sent to my phone and while I try to enter the digits reverts from the numerical to alphabet keyboard after every number!

There are two systems on KR - when you log in it's clear as they ask you for either a user ID or username for the old or new system.
The old system typically has higher issue numbers than the new. The Issue 9 EA likely will only appear either if logged out or if logged-in on the new system. If you don't already have a new system account then you might create one as part opening the account.
You cant transfer funds old to new, it has to go via an external account, but they are supposed to be migrating old system accounts to the new over time. Once you're on the new its all straightforward - transfers are instant.
Entering a 2FA code should be similar to other systems - on a PC I'd suggest using Link To Windows on the phone and Phone Link on Windows which makes SMS appear on the desktop.
If using a web browser on a phone then, depending on how the 2FA entry is implemented, it may be possible to copy straight from the SMS notification, in the same way as some apps make this easier than others.4 -
if I feel sure the issue 9 was shown in my online old log in accounts last week, now there is just the 60 day notice 4.1% account shown that was also there last week.
Anyways I guess I’m going to have to use the new system going forward and would have had to set it up anyway, just got ranty last night! (Why did auto correct change it to Randy, don’t they know the forum rules!?)
My iPads getting vintage also so that might account for the numerical keypad glitch. Thanks for the tips, I’ll work it out now I’m not ranty.0 -
Everything Jak22 said. I've just completed the process. Not really bothered that we're on the 'double access' thing as the other 3 a/c's remaining on the 10 digit log-in are 2 fixed term ISA's & a fixed term Bond.
Had to open an Easy Access 9 a/c in the User Name style, then plod over to log into the Easy Access10 digit to withdraw to linked bank a/c, leaving £1 behind (no idea why but will sort out w/d & closure tomorrow).
Advised NOT to try to pay in straight away, wait until tomorrow for bank to have linked our name to sort code/account number.
No keypad glitches, but I do agree with "ranty", sorry, Yorshire Pud
I'm also sure 4.17% was initially showing when I logged in several days ago with 10 digit version, but it also said "NEW APPLICANTS ONLY". Because I was pretty 'ranty' at that, moaning to my husband "surely that's not allowed".
Has it been a pain in the butt, well yes. I imagine they'll sort out something different, because NO internally transferring isn't going to work for ISA's!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.1
