Octopus generated a mid period for gas

I just noticed that Octopus have generated a mid month gas bill but there’s been no tariff change, still on tracker Dec24 duh have to ring tomorrow, hugely annoyed since my wife passed away on Monday.

Octopus are able to reverse incorrectly raised billing lines. You would need to ask them to do this, and make sure your normal billing date is still set. That will mean your normal bill will show the correct full month.0

True, but if they've actually changed the billing date on the account, that screws up any monthly records you might want to keep as the bills will span your normal month end. More fiddly than just adding two bills together.
