BG 19 months later

Hi, we left BG due to horrendous inconsistencies with whay we owed - literally one day the app said £300' the next day it was over £16000. Anyway we voted with our feet and left April 2024. No communications since. This week I receieved a survwy asking why we left AND a bill for £400 for energy used April to May 2024. When I queried the 12 month rule, they said 'the billing has been under review and because we are out of the 6 week notice period we have knocked off £26'.

Where do we stand? I have escalated it but we know how this usually ends - them selling the bill to a debt agency. Any advice gratefully received. It's not the paying that is the problem it the shock bill due to their incompetence.
