Need help with defending a county court claim issue date 21/11/25

Have a county courts claim and deadline is today. I need to lodge an AOS and then also get the template letter sent off today.

I wanted to know how to do both.

Q1 Do l have to do the AOS via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and is it a form that i have to fill and send them or is it just a type up sayng l have received docs?

Q2. I have seen a template defence letter, so l can change that and send it, but again does that also get sent via the moneyclaim gov.uk or is it another way. Also does this have to be done today or do l have more time on it.

I thought i had 28 days but when l read the papers yesterday it says they give you 5 days from the date 21/11/25 and then another 14 days, so according to my calculations thats TODAY . And l havent done anything yet as l thought l had 28 days.

Please if theres anyone who reads this could you let me know asap.
PS and if l dont get it done today will there be any other addictional fees, costs etc

Can't help you with you deadline dates but the Template defence thread is one of the Announcements top of page 1 above list of threads. Read posts 1 and 2.

Q1, login to your government gateway account and navigate to MCOL,  then put in your claim reference number and password ASAP into mcol, then look at your case on there 

File the AOS online by following the AOS online guide from the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad 

Fill in,  save and submit it, you will then extend your deadline from today for another 14 days, but you must get it done ASAP,  before 4pm today,  it's a 5 minute job once you are logged in 

Your current deadline is 4pm today,  but once you complete your AOS online,  your defence submission deadline will be 4pm on 24th December,  meaning 33 days after the claim issue date on your claim form 

You definitely dont have time for email or snail mail submissions at the moment,  get everything done on MCOL this month,  starting today,  and subsequently BEFORE Xmas eve

Was the issue date of the claim form 21/11/25?  If so, with an issue date of 21/11/25 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 26/11/25 and before or on 10/12/25 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 24/12/25
