Letter before claim - unknown PCN

Hello,

I would be grateful if anyone could help. I've received a letter before claim for a vehicle that I've sold many years ago. I am not entirely sure which PCN they're referring to as there is not enough information on the letter. I suspect it's one of those that has been ignored in the past after losing at POPLA.

I wondered if you guys think it's a good idea to contact them for more information? any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Just respond using the Letter of Claim response template in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

Don't ask for details,  dont contact the private parking company either, ( PCM UK LTD  ) sometimes not knowing assists the defendant,  so resist the curiosity phase, less is better, it will all be revealed sometime next year

Ps, PCM UK LTD dont use POPLA

    No.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you, I found this email for them, and I will just send the template below to Moorside legal: Help@moorsidelegal.co.uk

I do not know which PCN this is for. Do you think I should along with this email send them FOI request to send me everything they hold about me or just send the email for now?

    Dear Sirs,

    Your ref: [insert reference number]

    Proposed legal proceedings

Claimant: [insert name of parking company]

I refer to your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:

    [Insert correct address here]

You should revert to your client because the 'propensity to pay' score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether 'fronted' by your firm or not). Move on to weaker victims.

The alleged 'debt' is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

    Yours faithfully,

Definitely dont ask for more information

You cannot FOI these private companies

Just respond using the Letter of Claim response,  as I clearly stated in my reply
  • Someone else on here as got one of these letters , and has reported them to the Solicitors regulator, evidentially they break some of the Regulators rules of contact. the letter has  Insufficient details of of the alleged offence
  • There are a lot of these 3year old  letters from Alliance going around.
The help@Moorside email address gets a "email address not monitored"
I sent a reply by registered letter to their registered office in Oldham.
It was signed for but haven't had a reply as yet.
