Bank suspicious activity

Incredibly, banks still do this. I had a call recently where they began by asking if I was Mr Chief, which I confirmed, then telling me I would need to answer some 'security questions' in order to proceed. When I said I would not they appeared taken aback.
So as mentioned, in these cases end the call immediately. Then phone a known number (not your bank) and speak to someone you know in case it was an open line scam. Then, phone your bank. And remember too, it's not urgent. It's impossible for someone to steal money from your bank account but in the event some fraud has occurred, you need to confirm it in order for the balance to be restored.0 -
Reputable Institution state their name at the start of any call.
If the caller does not but says something like "We are your bank". You know they are a scammer.
When I answer a phone call, I never speak first, I wait for the caller to correctly identify themselves.
Most callers when they get this silent treatment, will then speak. Scammers will just hang up
