Do I lose S75 rights, if the credit card is paid off and closed/cancelled?

I have an interest free card which is coming to an end (m&s). I made some big purchases on these, car parts for car, a swiss watch etc.

I have acquired two new interest free on purchase cards, and managed to move the balance using the stoozing technique onto the new cards (no balance transfer fees here). The original card is paid off and I want to close it so the new cards will hopefully increase the credit limit.

I'm just curious, would I lose the m&s s75 rights if I close the m&s credit card? Is there an expiring of the s75 rights? Some of the big purchases were shy over 20 months ago and will be approaching 2 years.

Thanks

No, but it will be much more of a faff if you are no longer a customer.

No, but for safety sake print off & keep the statements with the transaction on.

As above, you don't lose your rights by closing the card, but is there much prospect of needing access to s75 anyway, for purchases of goods after that sort of time has elapsed, i.e. what sort of breaches of contract would you realistically anticipate?

i bought a swiss watch from ebay - the business selling was reputable and it also went through ebay partner  authenthication - which is done via a third party company that is reputable in the industry. Just the off chance the watch goes back to tudor and tudor claim the watch is a fake or a frankenstein watch. I believe it s fully authentic have no doubts about the watch

I suspect s75 would not apply to a purchase via eBay in any event as chain broken between vendor-buyer with the intermediary.

Correct, you pay eBay or PayPal not the seller
