Banks for 12 months bond

Anyone got a savings accounts with the following banks, who aren't well known (not to me anyway!) but seem to offer decent interest rates for 12 months fixed rate savings

LHV
DF Capital
Vanquis Bank

    I have a bond with DF Capital currently and have had bonds and access savings accounts with them previously. I don't recall any issues, all straightforward as far as I can remember.

    Vanquis Bank is straightforward. It used to be known as Provident Financial. It pays away monthly interest on Bacs timescales - interest due date plus two or three working days to reach your linked current account - but maturity proceeds and interest are paid exactly on the due date.

    I opened a 2 year fixed rate bond with DF Capital recently and have been impressed so far. The account opening process was quick and straight-forward and payments into the account take 2 minutes to be credited (you receive an email notification to let you know there's a secure message waiting in online banking for confirmation of the deposit). They don't have an app but their online banking site is modern and slick.

    If you're looking at 1 year fixed rates then I would have also suggested Investec as they seem to be well-regarded on the forum, however it looks like they required extra ID (judging by your other thread) which you weren't happy with ? I don't remember having to provide any ID to DF Capital, but you will obviously need to pass their online ID checks in order to avoid this.

    I've found DF Capital very reliable. They're a small bank and don't always offer their products to new customers. No App AFAIK but I always use the laptop. I've just opened their 2 year fix at 4.41%. Minimum £1k deposits.

    I have not had any problems with DF Capital or Vanquis.

    DF Capital have a 14 day funding window and Vanquis have a 30 day funding window.

    I second DF Capital, used them for several years without issue.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    yeah, investec is good.  i have opened a savings account with them but I have more than 120k to save so i need to find another bank.  DF Capital sounds good from the comments.

    not heard anyone say anything about LHV yet, so will wait to see if anyone has an account with them.

    I take all my fixed rate bonds through either the Raisin or HL platforms. LHV are currently offering a 1 year fixed bond but there are other better rates on offer. I'd suggest that whilst they are not at or near the top there won't be many takers and consequently no posts.
