Hi sent a present to a friend , tracking says it’s delivered but it just says ‘to porch ‘ no photographic evidence . Tracking said there’s no photo as it was a manual delivery ??? The parcel isn’t there . They def don’t knock . Couple have been stolen . I’ve put an investigation request in but not optimistic based on the service so far , what’s my best plan of action ?

Get your friend to check everywhere a parcel may have been left (garage, bins, shed etc), and also with neighbours. If it can't be found, follow the complaint procedure on the DPD website - familiarise yourself with your cover level and claim appropriate costs, submitting as much evidence as you can (e.g. receipts for the gift etc).
Good Luck!0 -

Was the item being sent within the Republic of Ireland, into it from UK, or from it to UK? It might make a difference to customer service and relevant legislation.Rufotron said:Hi thanks yes she’s looked everywhere , I’ve raised an enquiry but the dpd website has made it near impossible to complain , attached is the photo evidence
The proof of delivery is from dpd.ie0 -

I had a direct response from them after leaving a review on Trustpilot, it could be worth a try....0

A couple of years ago, I would have rated DPD the top delivery company...the last few years it's fall from grace has been spectacular. Had a problem yesterday, where the driver lied about a phantom delivery attempt (we were in all day) and took it to a pick-up point a 6-mile round trip away. It was more convenient for this lazy driver to do that than attempt his deliveries. What would happen if I never had a car? I have sent an official complaint to their email address...for what it's worth!0

So I’d just like to update you and look for further advice .I finally got through their mad frustrating systems to get them to put in an investigation .Nothing happened for ages then I was advised to email the ceo. So I did .I then got a response and an agreement to investigate , after a bad start we established I was the sender my friend the recipient ( after being told to contact the sender )
now it just seems to go in circles , I get messages saying it’s been investigated and closed ? How ?
I get some saying we can consider a refund and some saying contact the sender again .I just want some accountability , I want to know where my package to my friend ended up ?I don’t want to give up as it was an important package and it’s caused issues .What’s my next move ?0 -
That picture looks bogus; it could be anywhere blurred0
