Outfox

Be careful if you are looking to fix with Outfox. My current fix is due to end in February. I called them to ask specific if I signed on a new fixed tariff and when I asked if when the rates come down in April after the budget announcement I was told the reduction of £150 would not apply to fixed tariff customers.
That goes against everything that we are being told. Looks like regardless of what Martin and Ed milleband may want to see happen Outfox will not be applying the savings to fixed tariff customers. I recorded the call just in case the challenge what I was told.

    No it doesnt.

Energy secretary backs Martin Lewis’ call on '£150 off bills'

"We expect these savings to be passed on to customers on fixed tariffs from April 2026."

Expectation is different to actually being told to do it.

Hmmm....I'm in two minds about this. On the one hand the discount would be nice, but on the other, surely the implication is if the costs were to rise, that would then be ADDED to people's bills?  :/
  • All I was trying to do is make people aware that Outfox has already made their mind up not to pass on any savings from the April change.  I was told anyone on a fixed has already signed up to a contract and Outfox would not reduce any rate that someone has signed up to.

Perhaps the word "fixed" is not understood?
