Good evening: Your quote sounds typical for London. Is the gas hob a 'dry fit' i.e. not connected or is your joiner also CORGI registered for gas cookers/hobs ? Check his/her registration here... www.trustcorgi.com

Thankyou for the heads up. Gas hob is replacement, hence *not* a dry fit! will check with the certification part with him tomorrow.

good tip regarding that website, i can find local installers for more quotes

    many thanks

If you can't do it yourself and you trust him to do a good job then it is worth it.

You may find someone cheaper but if they don't get it perfect will you will sit and look at it for the next x number of years and wish you had paid the extra?

I'm also still looking for almost the same service, in London.
    I don't have a gas bit though.
I'd be interested in what you end up paying?

sounds very fair to me, some plumbers would charge in the region of 50-100 pounds for installation of sinks and gas appliances alone (each).
