Sadly I don't think I am going to make it to the meet after all. I injured my foot quite badly last night - ambulance trip to A&E no less! Luckily it's not broken - they haven't said what they think is the matter but having done the exact same injury some years ago (other foot I think though I can't be sure) I have a reasonable idea. I think it is a torn ligament - I heard an almighty crack which was obviously not a bone breaking but was probably a ligament tearing (sorry is that TMI?!)

Anyway I am in a lot of pain and can't walk on it at the moment. I have crutches but I haven't mastered them yet. I have got to rest it elevated with ice on for the first 24 hours and I am not allowed to put any weight on it for at least 3 days. I don't fancy fighting my way through the crowds in Birmingham when I am wobbly on crutches.

Anyway, I will see if it's any better tomorrow night and let you all know for definite then.

Ok Piggin, and Ouch. I hope it turns to be ok and hopefeully its just bruising. And hopefully if you are up for it we will see you on Sat. :beer::beer:

Sorry I havent posted here for a while but Im really looking forward to the meet. The only thing is I have to be at work for 4pm til about 9pm:o

Call me daft..... but what time was you thinking of meeting at the Shakespear? I could leg it to work after I meet you guys and maybe catch up with you after work!:D

Glad its not just me! I've got to go back to work and do the weekly shop tonight (not long left the bl00dy place!)as I will have the car tomorrow.... then sort OH with food for DS (he'll resort to jars otherwise!), try to fing something to put my clothes in........ etc etc etc. The list goes on!
