Sadly I don't think I am going to make it to the meet after all.I injured my foot quite badly last night - ambulance trip to A&E no less! Luckily it's not broken - they haven't said what they think is the matter but having done the exact same injury some years ago (other foot I think though I can't be sure) I have a reasonable idea. I think it is a torn ligament - I heard an almighty crack which was obviously not a bone breaking but was probably a ligament tearing (sorry is that TMI?!)
Anyway I am in a lot of pain and can't walk on it at the moment. I have crutches but I haven't mastered them yet. I have got to rest it elevated with ice on for the first 24 hours and I am not allowed to put any weight on it for at least 3 days. I don't fancy fighting my way through the crowds in Birmingham when I am wobbly on crutches.
Anyway, I will see if it's any better tomorrow night and let you all know for definite then. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
