I only have an ISA with them by chance. Carried forward from originally a single company PEP ? with Bradford and Bingley ,then Share Centre and now ii. Started off at £9.99pm , then £11.99pm and to be £14.99 pm from Feb., so not the value it was to start with.
Still cheaper than the equivalent charge for my ISA holdings with Charles Stanley Direct and much less than 50% of the charges for HL. May switch my SIPP and ISA holdings away from HL.0 -
Is there any reason you wouldn't just move the ISAs to Scottish Widows (was iWeb) and pay no ongoing charge?brewerdave said:I only have an ISA with them by chance. The new charges are not tempting enough to give any of my accounts to II.
I have lower capped charges at Fidelity + AJ Bell and no ongoing charges with SW(iWeb) + T212.
If I wanted a large SIPP in OEIC fund(s) then II would be attractive else there are usually better options.
If you are paying anything to HL then there are usually better options.2 -
Well winners & losers by the looks of it.Mine is increasing from £11.99 to £14.99.My wife's is changing from £11.99 to £5.99 andmy sons fees go from £4.99 to £5.99.Think I will have a look at tweaking where everything is kept. I could abate my increase by transferring in my SIPP by saving fees elsewhere as I think the £14.99 will also cover my SIPP. Alternatively, I am considering bringing my S&S portfolio below £100K in any case so that will also reduce my fees to £5.99. I have a T212 cash ISA so could transfer. Lots to think about.0

Mine has dropped from £21.99 to £5.99

I hold an ISA, SIPP and GIA, (which I don't use), but needed the GIA to receive a welcome bonus.1 -

I just have a SIPP with ii so my charge will increase. From 1st Feb I will be moving my S&S ISA and trading account from IWeb (Scottish Widows) to ii.0

If your son’s investments are less than £100k you could make him a family member from 1 Feb then he won’t pay any monthly fees.winkowinko said:Mine has dropped from £21.99 to £5.99

I could offset a little of the increase by moving my small SIPP to ii but instead I'll probably end up moving my ISA & GIA somewhere else once the fee-free period I currently qualify for ends. ii lost a lot of my goodwill when they stopped offering investment club accounts at short notice, mostly recovered it by offering good terms to have the IC assets transferred to individual member accounts but have now lost it again by introducing a 25% increase in my monthly fee once I need to pay it.Doesn't help that they also sent the price change email to my mother (to her consternation) even though she only briefly had an account with them following the x-o transfer which was immediately transferred elsewhere.

People will only have material experience of iWeb, since it has only been SW for a few days so far. I don't expect we'll see much difference, and iWeb has been fine. I can't speak to customer service personally, as I've never had to contact them. But that is because everything has worked for me, including multiple ISA transfers into the platform.20122013 said:What are others' experience with SW (iweb) platform and customer service.3 -
I don't understand as I've a sipp with them with a mid 6-figure value. Certainly many times bigger than the Pension Esentials threshold and yet I've only ever been charge £5.99 per month. The email today said it would be increasing from £5.99 to £14.990
