Travel Republic /Dnata Travel Group closing UK brand

Hello everyone, Dnata Travel Group (who own Travel Republic) confirmed in November 2025  that it is proposing to close its Travel Republic and Netflights consumer brands, with staff currently in a formal consultation process. Apparently, it is following a 'strategic review' of UK business.

They say via Google that existing bookings remain unaffected and will proceed as planned.  However, we have have a holiday booked with them and have heard nothing from them directly.
To date we have paid just £200 deposit, but are due to imminently pay a next instalment ( 2nd of 3 payments) Also, they are not answering emails.

The holiday is ATOL protected, but we are just not sure about making this next payment. I've thought about asking our insurance company too about whether to pay the next instalment. If we don't pay it we may lose the holiday of course.

Does anyone else have any info that may help on Travel Republic, or in a similar position?

They are closing down those brands for new bookings. Existing bookings will be fine. You have the might of the Emirates group/Dnata behind Travel Republic so I wouldn’t worry.

Even though we have only paid a deposit of £200 to date? (what was required).  I guess a deposit is a deposit ......

If they're winding the business down (rather than gone bankrupt) then yes, they should implement all their outstanding obligations.

Shame I've used both brands from time to time, especially for hotel bookings which have been excellent value.

To the OP if you don't pay your next instalment you will forfeit the booking and the deposit. They've already said existing bookings will be honoured, and even if it goes South your money is ATOL protected.
