Afternoon all, usual thanks @Scarlet for the start and @-taff for the carol. Today's image in my head is of course Bing Crosby but I also quite like the version he did with David Bowie.
This morning started off dry and dull but now the rain has set in for the day and I've got the big light on already.
I'm hoping we get at least one dry day this week as I have some donations to take to the CS and want to have a browse for some more jigsaw puzzles before real winter sets in. Tomorrow is provisionally earmarked for putting up decorations, SM delivery on Tuesday so perhaps Wed or Thur for the CS. We've just been treated to an unexpected volley of very noisy fireworks. I couldn't see where they were coming from but it must have been very close because it looked like thick fog outside when in fact it was smoke.
It's a late one from me today as DS has been this morning with the iPhone he's given me to keep in touch with him and his DP via whatsapp while they're in Brazil over Xmas and NY. Never having had a smart phone before I needed a tutorial and now my head hurts!
I'm just glad he set it all up for me. I'll see how I get on with it and then decide whether I want to keep it or carry on with my old brick of a mobile - logically, it could be an ideal time to drag myself into the 21st century!
Dinner is all prepped (chicken, potatoes, veg etc) so all I have to do now is make my bed and then it's sloth time for the rest of the day. I'm not feeling very festive yet so maybe a Xmas film might spark some enthusiasm.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend, TLC recommended, with hugs if needed. Take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
