New Phone issues

I finally took the plunge and bought myself a OnePlus Nord CE5
It's running Android 15
I've set it up with everything but ...
The Facebook app won't open, it appears briefly on the screen then disappears - I'm getting by with a shortcut to the FB website, but why won't it work?
Whatsapp - the new notifications appear at the top of the screen but there's no red 1 for telling me there's a new message - why?
I've set up WiFi calling but it insists on displaying a banner across the lock screen "Phone Services - 1 notification" Any ideas how to get rid of this? It also appears in the top left corner next to the time, which I could do without too!
Help!

Delete the Facebook app and reinstall. If you can't delete it force it to stop in settings/apps/Facebook. And when in there go to Storage and click on Clear cache and Clear data. You could also see if there's an update to Facebook using the Aurora Store instead of the Play Store.0

With regard to the red dot.
Is it just WhatsApp or all apps?
If it's just WhatsApp then go to Settings/Apps/WhatsApp and make sure that notification dots are turned on.
If it's all apps then go to Settings/Notifications & Status/ and choose what you want under App Icon Badges.1 -
I tried that before but it didn't work, but just tried again and ... it worked ... thanksM25 said:Delete the Facebook app and reinstall.
It was all apps, but that seems to have fixed it, thanksPHK said:With regard to the red dot.

With Android, this varies a lot between different skins.
What you need to do is get into the settings for that notification and turn it off.
You'll either be able to press and hold on the notification or partially swipe it left or right.
This will either directly go into the settings or you'll see an icon or text to tap on.1 -

"Wi-Fi Calling" all are "set as silent" but when I tap on them, 'allow notifications' is set to on, but greyed out, so can't be altered.😡EDIT - I seem to have stopped the notification appearing across the middle of my lock screen but the icon is still there once unlocked
