I've potentially had my first sale which is apparently 'urgent'.

This is on Vinted where sellers have 5 full working days to post, so item bought last night technically can be sent as late as next Thursday. Item, letter box size sub £2 was bought at around 7pm last night and shortly after purchase came the message that they really hoped I could 'pop it' to the courier that evening as they needed it to arrive by next Tuesday as it's part of a secret Santa lot they need to take to work on Wednesday morning.

Bought with Yodel - who appear to be struggling big time in my area already , but to be delivered to the persons address, not a pick up location. I messaged last night to say it would go this morning and to cancel if that wasn't good enough, but warned it was unlikely to arrive by Tuesday.

Heard nothing so it's going out in a few minutes.

I suspect there will be more next week as Christmas approaches. There was already someone on a Vinted forum saying they were expecting money on the 20th , and was that getting a bit tight if they bought their Christmas presents on Vinted on the 20th and 21st !

Argh, 2 more INR claims this morning, one business one private both RM48 using ebay labels. One sent on the 3rd and one on the 5th. Taken to a shop that handles Royal mail and I have till receipts (neither worth claiming for as both low cost items ) Both show the following if I check on the Royal mail tracking page:

    We're expecting it

The sender has advised us that your item has been dropped off at a parcel locker. More information will be available as it travels through our network.
    Tracking number xxxxxxx
    Service used:2nd Class Parcels

Royal Mail is becoming a real issue, i can't even get a single birthday card to a relative - that's been nearly 2 weeks now. The couriers don't seem to be doing a lot better, Yodel have issues in my area , Just a quick look at my Vinted sales show 9 items all sent over a week ago and still not delivered- that's a mix of Evri and Yodel - plus one DPD.

With regards to ebay, there was a suggestion on a group I belong to about putting holiday settings on, but allowing sales - as that flags up to the buyer that you are 'live' but the items have a very long EDD.
