Morning everyone
Drizzly rain again here this morning.
DD will be dropping little one off shortly...for a day of tree decorating, Christmas crafts and wrapping her mummy's presents. She hasn't been too well this week with antibiotics for an infection in her tubey hole which make her feel sick and her sugars dropping very low, she managed school apart from yesterday.
I think she's here till teatime, by which time she'll be shattered and so will I probably!
I'll wish you all a good day as I want to put the tree up ready to be decorated, before she arrives x
Happy Birthday Chrisca..enjoy your day x8 -
Morning everyone happy birthday Chirsca enjoy your take away that’s a lovely birthday present no cooking .Mehefin it’s my absolute pet hate litter I would get thrown off here if I said what I thought of people who do it there’s a country lane a mile from the tip and it’s a dumping ground for them I can’t get it into my head why they wouldn’t drive a mile along the road and take it to the tip aaargh .Coxy what a shame about the fake note I hope karma comes back and bites them there’s some horrible people it’s good job we are all nice on here Gers good for you you can’t put a price on good health. Taff thanks for the carol I’m another that must get cracking with some housework. We had a brilliant night last night lovely to see the kiddies happy faces and the lights were beautiful and it was I good job we went early we just got back in the car when the heavens opened but there is a lot saying today they were so wet they had to peel there clothes off when they got home but it didn’t seem to spoil the fun if you stayed in because of bad weather in this country you would never leave the house and it is December. I’ve just been to Lidl I had a 5 pound voucher to use and some money off coupons so I’m well stocked up hubby is itching to put the tree up so I’m going to have a cuppa and a clean round and then we can make a start he will have a fainting fit when he sees the extra baubles I’ve bought from the charity shop well it’s all for a good cause. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, thanks @Gers for today's start and @-taff for the carol - I do look forward to these.

Yesterday managed to stay dry until late evening and the winter sunshine made for a pleasant but chilly walk out to the shops. I noticed the sagging Santas on my route have been re-inflated and more houses have been decorated with wreaths (wreath making classes anyone?) and strings of icicle lights inside/outside windows and porches. All looking very festive. Refund obtained and just a couple of things bought, including a bunch of white carnations that had craftily been labelled as 'Xmas' carnations. The only difference between these and the normal ones was the addition of a stem of gypsophila and a red cellophane wrapping in place of the normal clear stuff.
Today the weather is back to dull and wet (no surprise there) with a light breeze and feeling milder than yesterday. No real housework on the cards today but there's quite a few pottering jobs to keep me out of mischief. Top of the list is booking a hair appointment for the beginning of January as that's when my hairdresser returns from maternity leave. Considering I've not had a trim for almost eight months, it's held its shape quite well but I think there will be a good 3 or 4 inches to come off! Tea tonight is a simple pasta bake with a couple of leftover cooked sausages sliced into it.
@Gers - I like the term 'mindings', especially if they're foodie ones! So sorry to hear you're having to pay for your op but sadly NHS waiting times aren't always the best when you're in pain.
@Coxy - I can understand your disappointment over the fake £20 note, but well done on your fundraising efforts.
@Chrisca - Happy Birthday! Have a great day. X
Good to hear some of our poorly brigade are starting to feel a little better - just take it easy and don't rush things. Take care all, stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
Happy Birthday to @Chrisca - I hope that you have a wonderful day with fabulous presents, plenty of cake and fountains of fizz.Sorry that your little one is poorly again @DP1. Great news about kitchens drying out, not so good about football being called off, fake notes and naughty horses.I checked the SB date of the English mustard - February 2022! So, it's in the bin and I've been out shopping for new stocks, along with other mustards too. That meant a delve into the back of the fridge to sort out unused stuff.TV time now.8
