    Morning all, Morning Gers
Off out shopping later, will have to scrape the windscreen on the car first though!
Just watching thr news and it says that Skipton is named the happiest place in Britain.  @TravellingAbuela is this down to you?   ;)
Want to have a look for something silly and funny for DS's partner's teenage son, not going to be easy I bet.
Apart from taking my anti-b's and doing my blood pressure check twice a day nothing else exciting is on the cards for the rest of the day.
Have a good day all and hugs to all the poorlies xx

    Morning all

Very frosty here too this morning poor DD and OH had to scrape their cars off  before leaving for work. Luckily I am under the car port so don’t generally get a frost on mine.

The chap is coming at 8 this morning to check the moisture level, I’m really hoping he says it’s ok and will take the machines away and re- install our downstairs loo, we have decided to leave the renovation till after Christmas, we are going to my sisters this year so no need to rush and we really only have next week to do anything before we go away, so we will live with the mess for a while longer.

Dinner tonight will be halloumi which we batter and the pan fry with some wedges and sweetcorn. I have a couple of washes to do once the man has gone and then I shall have a rest this afternoon.

It was really sad saying goodbye to Matt and his family yesterday, the bought me some lovely gifts including a £50 M&S voucher, they said I have become one of the family now which was so nice, Ive told them that if anything goes wrong the placement to let me know and I would come back, but I hope it doesn’t for all of them. His flat on the IOW is lovely so I hope he will be happy there.

Have good days all and take care xx

It's still dark outside and all seems calm so far. After yesterday's grey miserableness I'm hoping for some light.

Yes @Chrisca and @TA - Skipton best place to live. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6644626/Skipton%20in%20Yorkshire%20named%20happiest%20place%20to%20live%20in%20Great%20Britain

I did a few chores first thing, rubbish to dump, bag of stuff to CS and a quick chat with the pharmacy. Then I lapsed into semi-sloth mode. 😂 One kitchen cupboard got cleared out before I got bored. I've accumulated four bottles of red wine which I'll declutter at Christmas, my tastes have changed over the years. If I drink wine it'd be white so these can go with me to Alan's.

Lunch was a chicken and ham pie from the freezer which I bought about a month ago. The wee deli gets some interesting items from local'ish suppliers so the pie looked tasty. The filling was but the pastry was too thick for my liking. Today it's some defrosted pork and caramelised onion sausages from Cranstons in the lakes. I'll have them with mash and baked beans, more comfort food.

Does Coleman's English mustard lose flavour after a while? I have a jar in the fridge, for too long probably, which tastes much milder than I'd like. Perhaps I need to buy a fresh jar.

This morning I need to do a little shopping so will go early before tacking another cupboard. Have a good day everyone, hugs to our poorlies.
