How to maximise our wedding savings

Hello!

We have just under 2 years until out wedding day and have circa £10,000 in savings but just say in the most basic of savings accounts.

We want to try to maximise whatever interest we can get out of it over the next two years but, on occasion may need to dip into it for wedding deposits etc. However, the main bulk will remain there until around September 2027.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best sorts of accounts? Would a cash ISA be best? One that doesn't lock us into a period of time?

Presumably you want the savings to be jointly held? An ISA is for individuals...

Either or in fairness. We wouldn't be too concerned if the savings are held in name by only one of us but if there is something similar that could be jointly held then we'd love to know!

Just look at standard joint savings accounts - offered by your current bank(s) or other institutions.

Although your savings are specifically for your wedding, you may get more advice on the 'savings and Investments' board.
