How to maximise our wedding savings

Presumably you want the savings to be jointly held? An ISA is for individuals...

Either or in fairness. We wouldn't be too concerned if the savings are held in name by only one of us but if there is something similar that could be jointly held then we'd love to know!0

Just look at standard joint savings accounts - offered by your current bank(s) or other institutions.OntheFence_ said:Either or in fairness. Although your savings are specifically for your wedding, you may get more advice on the 'savings and Investments' board.

It's simple.
You want the max interest or close to that.
Go for a cash Isa - fixed if you wish - look up the well known, well-established banks etc, this site has a list of them
so get a peace of mind with a well-known, well-settled company, as you are not getting married for two years,
Prosnally, I'd only go for a one year fix rate not two

The problem with an ISA is that they're for individuals, and can't be held jointly… so to be fair they should split the wedding savings pot and put it into ISAs in each of their names.
If they want an account in both names, an ISA isn't an option.
