Acknowledging DRO

Hi
i am having some difficulty getting some companies to acknowledge my DRO which was issued 7th October.
Sky won’t acknowledge it, British Gas have only added my gas account, Klarna and capital one. I’ve also noticed I have recent defaults and missed payments still recorded.
ive spent hours trying to get someone to speak to who understands at all of the companies, I’ve raised multiple complaints and they close them.

I’ve made a complaint to the cisas about Sky but they said there’s insufficient evidence and closed it.

Im unsure what to do next. I know the insolvency service sent the information out as some companies acted immediately.

Has anyone had a similar experience and how did you resolve it? I’m exhausted from it as I’m getting now where

    who set up the DRO?

Capital One and any other FCA-regulated entities should be easy - email complaintsresolutionuk@capitalone.com (thats the address listed on the FCA register.)

For the others, one practical approach is to chill out and wait until a few months after the DRO year has ended and then make complaints about the default date being missing or too late, as well as the balance not being marked as satisfied or partially satisfied in some way. At that point you could also complain to the ICO if your credit record is wrong and they do not correct it.

If you are contacted by the firm or a debt collector asking for payment, reply the debt was listed in a DRO and send them a copy of the letter you had from the Insolvency Service. If they threaten court action, do the same, adding "see you in court!" if you are feeling fed up.

Oh thank you so much, I’ll look on the FCA register for addresses-I don’t realise this existed!
I don’t mind telling them and supplying the document but I’ve spent hours talking to people who don’t understand and keep telling me to set up a payment plan.
Klarna have actually got back to me and said they’ll pay me £100 compensation but still have missed some off it and British Gas have got back to me today to say they can see it’s still not applied and they’ll “look into it” 🫣

Thank you for your advice ☺️

I had similar troubles when DRO`s were in their infancy, I would have hoped for an improvement by now though.

Basically don`t bother doing anything or chasing anyone right now, do as manyways suggests above, it doesn't matter what creditors do or say as you are legally protected from further action by them, when your moratorium period ends, then do your credit file clean up, until then ignore them.

Sky has to acknowledge it, it's a legally binding order.  Remind them of that.

Creditors can still report missed payments during your DRO moratorium but they are not allowed to chase the debt.  No Debt Collectors, no court action, no home visits, no letters demanding payment, no bailiffs.

The company I had the most issues with was Zable (Lendable), I was still receiving payment demands in April even after the DRO went live in February.  It took a threat of a complaint for them to acknowledge it and stop the demands.
