Capita delays featured on The One Show tonight - looks like the best way to get our money is to write to Watchdog! 🙁

Very true. I'm delighted for the families that got their pensions sorted through Watchdog, but it somehow makes it even more frustrating to learn that Capita very evidently have adopted a 'he who shouts loudest gets heard' policy. Very wrong.

Agree...also whilst fully supporting the entitlement of the cases discussed, they weren't exactly typical.
For example, the sad case of the terminal cancer patient died just a month after his pension was due. Tragically, with hindsight, the delay in pension was pretty irrelevant. The other case appeared to be about a shortfall on what should have been paid, rather than no pension at all.
I think the programme could have emphasised the many pensioners, with no or little income, & bereaved dependents that haven't been paid or heard anything for months on end.

Does anyone have experience of how long it takes from returning the forms agreeing to retire to pension payments starting?
I’ve received my paperwork and illustration, just want to know if it’s weeks or months from when I sign on the dotted line and go for it.

I've heard it depends if you're in time to catch the payment run, if you miss it, add another month. Personally, I'd assume the worst.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer your question.
Out of interest how long did it take to receive your quote after applying & when is your pension due to be paid from?

lm still waiting for mine since January. It’s a disgrace. They are holding our rightful money. Having to survive on my wife’s wages and savings.

Ah, so relatively quick then @ShottsBA - two to six weeks or so?
