Accidentally booked wrong date for airport transfer [Get transfer]

I presume self explanatory but I wondered if there is anything I can do

I booked a return transfer trip for pickup from the airport to my Airbnb, and back for my two week trip to Thailand

somehow I have selected the wrong date for my initial transfer, the date prior. It was a 20 hour flight and the transfer company had messaged me as I was waiting in my outbound flight to ask where I was

I explained my situation, that it was a genuine mistake and they told me there would be a small fee for picking me up the following day. They tried to charge me the whole amount plus more on top, which I politely declined, I had to quickly book another return transfer with another company whilst on a layover in Beijing as I didn’t want to get stuck when on the other side. I told get transfer to cancel the whole booking

Get transfer have stated that all bookings are non refundable. Even the return leg. The support is robotic, my return transfer is due tomorrow and there is confusion because get transfer are stating to cancel the transfer I will need to agree to their no refund clause, which I don’t, the transfer company themselves are saying that it’s not closed off.

I’m wondering where I stand here. I have never had success on a chargeback with my bank and presume due to their terms I have to just put this one down to experience and take the loss?

Are you effectively saying that you've paid for two transfers for your return journey tomorrow?  If the original one hasn't actually been cancelled, can you cancel the second one instead, or are they both non-refundable?

I can't see how chargeback would apply here.

No chargeback as you missed the 1st booking. These do not cover user error.
TBH, you have cost them for the 1st trip. Not like they could pick a 3rd party up. To cover part costs.

Same if you booked & then cancelled 2nd booking.

Not clear where things have reached, please correct the below:
    * the airport - airbnb transfer was 2 weeks ago, booked for the wrong date and you got someone else to transfer instead?
    * the airbnb - airport transfer is tomorrow, they could still transfer you but you have booked with a 2nd company?

What happened to the small fee to change the date, did that never materialise? Have you checked the cancellation terms in what you agreed?

If indeed you couldn't cancel, then why didn't you just get a taxi on teh first tiem and go ahead with the original company for the transfer to the airport?

UK law is unlikely to apply to a transfer in Thailand.  You are stuck with whatever the transfer company decides.  I suspect that means no cancellation.

Why didn't you just pay the small fee?
It also seems fair as you were a "no show" for the first pick up.

Was the other company cheaper than the small fee?

Spare a thought for the driver who went to pick you up, waited and then found out you were coming the following day.
They were probably counting on a tip to make up for the meagre fee they were receiving after the agent took their cut.
I agree with others, take it on the chin.
