Regarding budget announcement. To fix or not to fix?

Hi all,
I just moved into my new home and with the latest budget announcement regarding "the removal of certain green levies from energy bills", I'm wondering is it worth staying on a variable tariff until April 2026 to guarantee benefitting from these changes and risk bills going up before then, OR to jump onto a fixed tariff now and risk not benefitting from the changes coming into play in April.
I have heard bills will go up in Jan next year but doesn't seem like they will a lot. Of course who knows what may come April next year. However, we do know that I would benefit from the "budget changes" if I stayed on a variable tariff until then.
Any and all opinions/thoughts are welcome!
