Morning! Went to the allotment yesterday andΒ planted some stuff I removed from the garden, I have a couple of camelias I've been bringing on to go in their place and I want to move a rose..Today, not feeling doing much, ankle is playing up a bit. We're off to tea at OHs mums, his foot is still swollen and discoliured but the boot is helping.ΒRuby, that'll be nice, maybe you can wave to Jacie O as you go past
Izzy, well, it's not the weather for rushing about so i vote for indoors, good book, feet up and hot hocolate..Gers, ooo, exciting! That's something to look forward to, and well done for sorting Christmas without stress..dp1, quick thinking there! camelot, have a lovely time, love a good catch up. TA, glad you've tamed the beast then
how did you fix it to your door? [looking for ideas...] Coxy, that sounds interesting too, scavenger hunt...Take care all, off to do stuff.....

Morning all, thanks @Gers for today's start.Β It's another sunny day after a bit of overnight rain and should be dry all day.Β It's rather chilly though and there's frost still lingering in parts.Β It's about 4 deg out at the moment and might get up to around 7 by lunchtime.
Yesterday's baking session felt like a bit of a marathon, especially with all the clearing up afterwards, but at least my To Do list is now a bit shorter!Β
Β Β Just sausage rolls left to make - maybe this weekend.Β I had an early night and slept well, apart from the usual loo break of course.
Another busy day as DS is on his way to collect me for a trip to Lidl.Β I hope it isn't too busy but that might be wishful thinking so near Xmas - apparently it's Toys Week.Β It's only my second trip there and I'm not used to the layout but DS is very patient, doesn't rush me and even points out things I might like.Β Tea tonight is fish with peas & sweetcorn, fruit & jelly for afters.
Must dash but I'll pop back in later.Β In the meantime I'll wish everyone a good day, take care all.Β XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Hi everyone,
I've been a bit busy answering SOS calls to look after sick children. We had Nate on Friday and then went to Bristol to help there. Steve came home on Sunday and I came back with Laura and Esther last night because Laura has a training course today.
We had a disturbing incident on the way back. Driving past St Albans someone beeped behind us. We both thought Laura must have cut someone up by accident. Then he drove after us flashing and when Laura pulled into the inside lane he pulled alongside and made rude gestures, then he went ahead and stopped blocking both lanes so we had to stop. He came over and started shouting that Laura had hit him and she needed to get out. She refused and kept the window up. In the end I called 999 and the operator said she could hear him and sent a car. The damage he was indicating was at the front of his car and he said we hit it with the front of ours, but he was behind us, not alongside. He'd also told his he had a dashcam but when Laura asked to see it when the police were there he said he didn't have one. Also before the police arrived another man stopped, got out and spoke to the first man then drove off before the police got there. Anyway insurance is now involved but it's going to be he said, she said. We're pretty sure it's a scam.
Sorry for the screed, have a good day.10
