Morning folks and thanks GERS. We have another sunny, but chilly, day in store before the blooming rain returns tomorrow!
Yesterday's lunch with DF was postponed (again) so I decided to trim up instead.. I had left all the boxes and bags at the ready on the landing so they were just to lug down. I thought I had stocked up on enough batteries for all the light up stuff but underestimated how many I had so will get some more today as I don't want want to run out even before Christmas gets here! The heavy wreath also got a good trim of the excess greenery and looks better for it. Less is definitely more TAFF! But I have yet to put it on the front door, it's still hanging over a door in the hall.
Today is bus trip day, probably Skipton again and I really must put my mind to searching out more stocking fillers before we retire for our wine 'n dine lunch and much talking. Bus buddy is having a bad time of it just now with family troubles so will probably need to get all her grievances off her chest.
Have a good day all if you can with the usual big ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Take care all be safe xx

Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's a damp morning here, cold I suppose, as was yesterday.
We've got a new double oven being delivered this morning, so I'm looking forward to that. The one it's replacing hasn't been very good even from it was new,but I soldiered on with it, but finally gave up.
That's the main event today.
Yesterday was ok, I visited my friend, posted my parcel, and we went to the quiz last night.
I haven't read back on yesterday, I seemed to be out a lot, but hope everyone is all right.
Take care folks.9 -
Morning allChilly but dry out there today. Managed to get an e-consult eventually yesterday and have been prescribed anti-biotics so lets hope that sees those germs off for good and I won't be getting through boxes of tissues anymore. Some hoovering and bathroom cleaning to be done today and then off out for an annual blood test later.Have a good day all x9

Morning all
Dry here for now but very cold the heating has been put on this morning to warm the place through. Yesterdays winter wonderland was so lovely very Christmassy and the two people we took loved it, some more decorations came home with me, we are going to put them up at the weekend.
Off to see Matt today, he has a blood test at lunch time so we will take him to that and then maybe out for a few hours later, tomorrow we are taking him to the Isle of Wight to see his new place again, he is moving there Monday but will come home for Christmas, so tomorrow is my last day with him, I will really miss the whole family as we have become close.
Not sure about dinner tonight, I will go and have a look after this, I have a shopping delivery coming tonight too.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
A busy week so far - spent a day in London on Monday with DSis doing a scavenger hunt then worked yesterday. I have suggested some changes to processes and they have agreed with me, so I will be busy next week when I’m in. A colleague will be off next week so I’ll do three days.A morning of painting today - this time, the kitchen. DH did the first coat yesterday. I also need to collect an order from A$da this afternoon. I’m at a wreath-making evening tomorrow in an adjacent village. The church ladies are running it. Goodness knows what mine will turn out like as have only made one before - we will have to compare notes @TravellingAbuela!Hope your friend is more comfortable now @IzzyBee x.Have a good day all

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Cold, damp and still dark here, I'm off to meet friends for breakfast about an hour away so will have to leave soon. Haven't seen them for ages so will be good to catch up.
Enjoy your bus trip TA, glad the wreath looks better now.
Hope the trip to Matt's new place goes well Ruby. Sounds like you had a good time yesterday.
Slow down Izzy!
Happy new oven day Scarlet. I hardly use the big oven these days.
You must have shares in the paint company Coxy!
Hope the ABs do their thing Chrisca.
Had a good walk with the little dog yesterday once she got going - she likes to stop at every blade of grass and I like a good walk but I won in the end!
Hope everyone is well or feeling better, take care. XX

Morning all
Thick fog here too - it often is and can be completely clear half a mile down the hill - think it’s sits near the river and lingers.
The coughing episodes are much decreased - I just feel shattered despite sleeping and not doing much for two days, Bdog has a weigh-in this afternoon so I’ll try and get a couple of much needed Christmas presents - distinctly lacking in ideas and motivation!Hope everyone has a good day.AA4 -
Morning again - we have so many under the weather, I hope that all the meds start working soon.@Ruby - it's so lovely to read about your work with Rob, how worried you were at the start and now how sad that he's leaving. I hope that you find new clients soon. The other week I was exploring the possibility of going to Toronto next year as a new airline will be flying direct from Glasgow from May. I was interested but put it off - then, the very next day Scotland qualified for the WC which is being hosted partly in Toronto! Then yesterday I decided to just book so am going for a week before the games start. I have no idea why...but I just fancied it! So, flights booked, hotel booked and eTA approved. Slightly scary but exciting. Am going on my own, I'm not a great travel companion. Now, have to eat porridge for the next eight months. That's enough excitement for there rest of the year.I'll be eating out of the freezer to make room for the Christmas food I've ordered but won't be here for. Straight after my operation I'm going to spend Christmas with Alan and friends in Glasgow. I'd been invited but was on the cusp of refusing it, now it makes sense to not travel home after discharge on 24th.Take care everyone, this year's 'flu strain is highly virulent causing more illness than before. Keep wrapped up. Virtual hugs to all.

Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I'm off gallivanting today - I'm getting the train to Newcastle with my friend so will hopefully get my Christmas shopping finished.
Little one phoned last night with the news that she's no longer a camel she's a donkey...they had 4 camels but only 3 costumes so she volunteered to be a donkey instead. I told her a donkey is far more important as Mary wouldn't have got to Bethlehem without it ! The good news is she can still join in with the camel dance !
Hope everyone has a good day x1
