LBC Gladstones Northern Ireland

Hi I’ve received a Letter before Claim from Gladstones relating to an overstay at Tescos 1 yr ago for 20mins. Horizon have been sending letters every couple of months to my daughter since then which I’ve told her to ignore. It then went to Debt recovery plus. My daughter is the registered keeper of the car and don’t want to risk a CCJ in her name, but not sure how to respond to this. I understand NI is different in that they need to prove the registered keeper is the driver which they can’t do. I did get some legal advice via a charity which told me they can and do go to court in NI with these cases, so we’re not exempt. Any template response I could use? And should I reply to Gladstones via their online PAP form? TIA

Best to contact your consumer council in NI, just as this guy did.

Be sure to show them the DRP rubbish letter
DRP ARE 100% POWERLESS, NEVER CONTACT THEM, If you have a cat, they are perfect for the litter tray

  • Thank you so much! I’ll contact them tomorrow. Sorry what’s DRP?

    Yep. Just laugh at them!

    Nothing will happen.

  • Hi again, just off the phone from the Consumer Council - basically advised they can’t help with these anymore in NI. Pretty much pay it or take your chances and ignore. No clue what to do now really don’t want to pay these bloodsuckers £150! Should I reply to the PAP and use the LBC statement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
