Return cost of unsuitable items

Hi
i purchased some pictures online and when they arrived they were nothing like the people in the images I had provided.

In fairness the company have agreed a full refund on receipt of the returned items.

However, the return address was in China and it has cost £22.70 to send back.

I asked if the supplier would refund this cost but they have said they don't reimburse expenses.

As the items were not as described, do I have any rights to fight for this money to be re-imbursed as well?

How did you purchase ? No rights to a company in China, buy local get rights.

If VIA Ebay you can do an INAD.

Buying via China you effectively throw your money away if it's no good. 

I just factor it in when buying from China.

Just to add, did you ‘find’ this company on social media by any chance? 

With these Far East companies it often pays to be persistent as they often offer a small refund as a goodwill gesture to make you go away. That can be better than nothing.

The chances of a returned item reaching them  are very slim.

It will be stuck in customs and they will not collect it.
