Morning all, thanks @Gers for starting us off today. We're in for two whole sunny and dry days - yippee! Today is sunny with a gentle breeze and tomorrow is sunny intervals, again with a gentle breeze. Unlike yesterday that was another of those close-the-curtains-early days with rain that didn't know when to stop.
I took a chance on the weather (managed to stay dry) and trotted up to the postbox with the cards that needed posting, then popped into the Co-op for a TV guide that was out earlier than normal. I wanted a bunch of flowers too but didn't get any as they didn't have any of the carnations I usually buy and the mixed bunches were much dearer than I wanted to pay. They did have some RTC tulips but they don't last long indoors and looked half dead anyway. Maybe Monday isn't the right day. On my travels I noticed quite a few households had used Advent Sunday to put up decorations and very festive they looked too. Apart from one that had possibly jumped the gun with their inflatable Santas that have been up for a couple of weeks already - sadly they're now drooping and looking very sad.
Bit of a kitchen day today - the bread maker is on, as is the WM, and I've made up some fruit & jelly pots for this week's afters. This afternoon I'll be making a couple of small quiches plus mince pies with whatever pastry might be left over. @Ruby - Snap, I'm also having egg fried rice for tea with a cheese & ham slice from the freezer.
@TA - Glad you enjoyed your evening, even if your wreath didn't quite come up to expectations!
@Ruby - Happy birthday to your OH.
@dp1 - It's hard when the caring falls on just one child so I'm sorry to hear your brothers aren't much help with your DM. You're doing a sterling job.
Right, off to the kitchen I go. I'm sending healing wishes to all the poorly ones, hugs available where needed. Take care, stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
