Car touch up paint advice please

Today, I accidentally tapped my wristwatch on the main body of my newish car. The part that the driver's door closes onto.
It has only left a small chip, but I notice it. I can see the grey below the paint kevel.
I have the proper touch up paint, but today is raining and it is due to be damp the next few days.
Will I cause any further harm, waiting several days for a dry day or do the touch up now, although not ideal?
Once touched up, the paint will be kept away from the paint by the door being closed.
Thank you in advance.

Dont do the touch up in the rain, if it still has the primer on it it's ok.
Put the touchup paint somewhere to warm otherwise it will not flow when you put it on.
Ideally clean the spot with alcohol before applying, and wax it after the paint has had a week to dry.
You may find applying the paint with the end of a cocktail stick a more accurate way to do it rather than any included brush.

No, if you can see the grey primer it won't rust, assuming your car body is steel or some other form of metal..
