MBNA to Lloyds / Halifax Balance transfer

Possible or not as part of same group. Lloyds saying only not possible to other Lloyds cards ?

Worth a call to check, but I think unusually LBG are relaxed about transfers from other brands in the same group.

I have been told by a Halifax humanoid via the chatbot that a balance transfer to MBNA credit card can not be done as MBNA is part of the LBG.

You need to ask MBNA rather than Halifax (yes, both part of LBG, but different parts of the overall business). I imagine the Halifax humanoid has just provided you with a safe answer, also bear in mind they don't want to lose your business (even if it's to another part of LBG).

The MBNA website's help page on credit card balance transfers only states this…

You can’t transfer balances between MBNA accounts.

No mention of any prohibition on other LBG brands.
