I did the Collective Nov26 duel fuel switch from Octopus Energy to British Gas.  A few weeks ago I had found out that my Gas supply is with Octopus. Both suppliers is still referring me to the other. I have asked BG to request the switch and they said to ask OE.
I had read the BG customer service is poor but I was not expecting only one of my fuel was switched, and the service I am getting.
I am wondering whether I should still switch my gas to British Gas (due to their service and their October tariff is no longer available) or to other suppliers and my current tariff with EO will end on 2 January 2026.
I will be raising my case with the Ombudsman will take up to 8 weeks to resolve. .

British Gas are a bit weird in that they have separate accounts for gas and electric even if you have both with them. It's two separate accounts on the app and 2 separate direct debit payments. Maybe you switched just the electricity? I only joined BG as the house we moved into was with them and on comparison sites they were the cheapest for us. Tbh, I've not had any trouble with their CS on the odd occasion I've contacted them. AIUI, BG need to do the switch to them, not Octopus.
