British Gas overpayments

I left British Gas over a year ago now having joined Octopus.
I am sure I inadvertently paid to much by sending another tenants meter reading during my time with British Gas.
I was wondering if there is any chance I could get reimbursed the excess money that I paid?

None, did you check your final bill against your own record of readings?matthewbeardsworth1984 said:I left British Gas over a year ago now having joined Octopus.I am sure I inadvertently paid to much by sending another tenants meter reading during my time with British Gas.I was wondering if there is any chance I could get reimbursed the excess money that I paid?4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . You should have given an opening meter reading to Octopus when you signed up. This would have been sent to BG and used as their closing reading.Your online BG account may still be accessible; if both companies used the same reading then everything is fine. If you can't find the BG closing reading, just submit a Subject Access Request.1
