Morning all
Dry and bright here but very cold, the constant drone of the dehumidifier and hot air machine is driving me mad, but one bonus is that the house is very warm so we have turned the heating off, we have the log burner on in the evenings and that keeps us snug.
Tru 😃😃😃 I am so pleased to see you posting and happy that Scamp and the chicks are doing well, sorry to hear about your anxiety though, it’s lovely to know you are all ok sending big love, and just pop in when you can - no pressure xxx
Dinner today is roast beef which mum bought when we were out last Monday, it’s a real treat and I am looking forward to to it, I will do a couple of dinners for mum too.
We need to empty the loft room today which is a large room in the eves off of the bedroom, I am sure we had some leftover floor tiles in there, but it’s very full of DD’s belongings from when she moved back in, so we will empty it and see if we can find them, it will save us a bit of money if we do.
We are going to put the decorations up next weekend, it’s a bit early for me but dd is off then so will help, and then we are away so best to get it done before we go, Lidl are selling big Christmas trees for £15 so we will go and have a look at them.
Gers I hope you stay well in the run up to the op xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all and a Happy St Andrew's Day to our Scottish members. Thanks for starting us off @Gers, glad to hear the ABs have done their work - fingers crossed it stays that way for the next 3 weeks. And a virtual wave to @Tru - you've been missed so pop in now and again when you feel up to it. @Coxy - Well done on raising a fantastic amount, I hope next Sunday's fundraiser does just as well.
What a miserable day it was yesterday - rain and more rain, all day. I had the big light on and the curtains drawn by just after 3.30 pm. There were very few people out and about, only the usual dog walkers. In contrast, today is bright and sunny with a clear blue sky, but cold. Apart from the conifers and the willow tree outside my kitchen, the trees have shed most of their leaves now. It won't be long before the willow tree is naked too as the foliage that's left is looking very sad and yellow.
I've already done what needs to be done today so the rest of the day is my own. I'm going to try to come up with a plan of what to do on what day for the coming week; it's feast or famine as some weeks are full on and others not so much. I'll also bring down the Xmas box ready for the decorations to go up - a bit early for me yet but a bit of sparkle won't go amiss.
Dinner is sorted, slices of cooked beef in gravy with veg and potatoes and I'll whip up a batch of mini Yorkies, a couple for today and the rest for the freezer. Tonight I'll be tuning in for the second episode of The Serpent Queen, a historical drama about Catherine d'Medici, with some comedy thrown in.
Stay warm everyone and enjoy what's left of November. Take care and stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
I've been perusing the new releases from my audiobook place and found three to my liking. No Christmas decorations here, last year I bought a tiny tree from an online shop and loved it, even sent one each to three friends, so may well do that again. It's very chilly here, bright and freezing cold. I've put out food for the birds, and some water. Had my lunch, not 'best ever' but gastropub range, a very tasty treat. I'm drinking so much water I may well dissolve overnight.
Yes to the AB question - the med I saw earlier in the month prescribed one a night (low dose) as a prophylactic - same as @TA has, although they didn't work too well. Still hoping!7
