Nor had I until I attended a number of cases as a lay rep. You can go along to watch contract law cases at your local court. It is interesting to see how it all works.lon_85 said:I've never been to a court before in my life, only seen it on tv 😬 guess there's a 1st for everything!
Judges are generally very supportive of new Defendants. It's not a criminal court. Nothing scary. More like a job interview.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Indeed and it surprises me that a lot of those people on Facebook group pages giving advice have been in the county court...Coupon-mad said:

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to recieve the forms? I need to book travel but I'm worried they might arrive when I'm gone then i get penalised for not replying back.0

Ensure that your post is checked every few days whilst away
A claim form can arrive anytime between the incident date and 6 years from the incident date, so anytime from now until the 6 year deadline passes , so 2nd February 20313 -
Oh my god I didn't realise it was up to 6 years! I'll definitely need to get someone to check my post then.. thank you!2

Check the Limitations Act 1980 for England and Wales ( 6 years. ) or its 5 years in Scotland !
So not changed in 45 years
Definitely ensure that your post is checked regularly, once or twice weekly, when away, not just for this problem but for numerous other issues that may occur , such as police, council, bridges or tunnels, TfL , ULEZ, CAZ , the point is to check and act promptly, even if sat on a beach in Bali. !3 -
Have to admit I didn't check my post when I was sat on a beach in Bali in October!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
