Manhattan T3-R or T4-R or an alternative?

Hi.
Looking for a TV recorder. Ease of use is important, and being able to scroll back to previous days to 'catch up', so Freeview Play or equivalent.
Two recordable channels tobesure tobesure.
On-demand services like iPlayer etc (via WiFo or Ethernet, doesn't matter) would be a nice addition, tho' we already have this on the TV.
So, Manhattan or an alternative? (Mil has the Manhattan T3-R and it looks a doddle to use.)
Thanks.

Have you not contacted your Legal Protection on you insurance for advice? ☺️ ☺️

Freely maybe an option as there is meant to be a PUK/plug in device so no need for a TV with Freely. Meant to be out before Xmas.

Freely doesn't record but has all the (I think) catch up apps in one place so I think you input your log in details once and then it remembers it so you don't have to keep inputting them.

Have a look here for info on the recorder you mentioned and the website has some good information also.

    Tee-hee :-)
Thanks, that was useful info. The Manhattan seems to be as good as it gets, so the ideal candidate. The T4 is faster, and has a slightly better menu layout and appearance - that's about it.
I'll quickly check out the main competitors before deciding.
    Thank you.

    Thoughts on Humax Aura, please?
It has Freeview Play, phone App, good sound.
(Not bothered about Netflix - I can get that on the TV if ever needed).
    Thanks.

Well, I went for the Humax Aura, for the usual reason - I found one that would be rude not to.
As kind of anticipated, it doesn't like weak antenna signals, and I did know ours was borderline - HD often pixelates or worse during 'atmospheric conditions' in Summer - but I'd also seen mil's Manhattan refuse to show terrestrial at times too, and her signal is steadier than ours.
So, I need to boost. I already have a decent aerial, and would struggle to get a larger one up in the eaves (no, one isn't going outside...).
Suggestions for a digital amplifier, please?
    Ta.

I have one of these as I have a self installed aerial in the loft and it feeds 3 TVs ok.

    https://www.philex.com/product/27820v/

I have the aerial lead going to a bedroom and then feeds 2 TVs upstairs and one in lounge.

It does what I want and cost me £60 for aerial and amplifier so a lot cheaper than getting an outdoor one installed.

Edit because I forgot the link.

I'm a twit - it said 'no signal' as it was tuned in to another part of the country...
    Reset, retuned, working.

Fair play for you coming back here and admitting your mistake.

    Does it work ok though?

Yes, it appears to work perfectly. Just needs getting used to
I have to say, the voice control is pretty impressive - it understands Skottish...
