Smart parking appeal rejected
We got caught out by Manchester Airport Pub/SMART parking. We appealed using the step 2 on the Newbies thread, and appealed via the Smart parking website, however, we received an email that stated they would still be upholding the fine.
Do we have any other options for appealing? I’m of next steps as all other posts I’ve seen have said step 2 would normally lead to
the parking charge being rejected.
thanks

Following up to add more context, it says the only option I have, is to pay or go to independent appeals is there any advice for what to include on IAS? Extract from reply from smart parking below…
We can confirm that the contravention of insufficient paid time occurred as our payment system confirms that no payment was made for your vehicle registration, for the xxx minutes the vehicle remained on site. Please be advised that as detailed on the car park signage when visiting this site, all motorists must purchase a valid ticket by entering the full and correct vehicle registration mark into the payment machine/ an alternate payment method, ensuring a payment is made for the full required stay duration.
As you have failed to pay for your visit, we can confirm that this PC has been issued correctly and in accordance with the advertised Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions of the car park are clearly advertised around the site and must be adhered to by all drivers.
You have now reached the end of our internal appeals procedure and therefore you now have two options, you can pay or appeal further with IAS – you cannot do both.
The Appellant has the right to appeal to an Independent Appeals Service, (IAS) using the instructions below. Please note, should you decide to appeal to the IAS, and your appeal is subsequently rejected,
the option to pay a discounted amount will no longer be available and the full amount of the PC will be due.
If the appellant decides to appeal to the IAS, they will need to visit the website, theias.org
where further details of how to appeal can be found. The appellant has 28 days from the date of this letter to submit an appeal to IAS.

And nobody uses the IAS which is widely considered as bent as a nine bob note. Not impartial or independent due to its connection to the IPC and the bizarre 'decisions' (95% of the time against motorists).
Just ignore the letters. Your stage is already fully covered - with photos of letters to ignore - in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What are our next steps then, just ignore the communications?0

Ignore the powerless debt collectors letters and wait for the Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice, or a Money Claim using MCOL
So NOT all communications, just most of them2 -
Yes of course. Like everyone cheerfully does.pleasehelpme123 said:What are our next steps then, just ignore the communications?
You read post 4 of the NEWBIES thread?
You read the MSE Guide as well, linked at the top of the page? Checked by Martin Lewis himself this Summer, as well as by me.
If you get a court claim read post 2 (ideally read it now in advance) and read a dozen threads on the forum this week. You'll see!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
