Good morning
I'm another who hasn't had much to say, although this week does seem to have flown by. Dry and sunny at present, yesterday was very mild, but breezy.
My OH also loves pies, steak bring his favourite, but I will be making a chicken and ham one Sunday to use up more oddments from the freezer.
No plans for today, expecting a parcel delivery later.
Ruby, happy birthday to your DD.
Izzy, I've often thought about volunteering, but done nothing about it, maybe next year will be the time.
Have a good day all, take care.10 -
Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. It's sunny out at the moment but light rain is expected later, moderate breeze. We might get up to 9 deg - if we're lucky - but it's more likely to feel a couple of degrees lower than that. I was woken very early doors this morning, thanks to Yippy & Yappy, the two little dogs over the road - that's my nickname for them, although I confess other names do get muttered under my breath at times.
I do like dogs but wish they were a bit less vocal!
Yesterday I was even more lazy than on a normal Slothful Sunday with only the essentials being done; happily I do feel more energised today so will crack on. Usual Friday admin to do and a fridge tidy-up wouldn't go amiss either. I know without looking there are some pieces of streaky bacon to use up so I'll cook those for a lunchtime BLT and can finish off the last of the mushy peas with a piece of fish for tea.
Over the last couple of days I've been having a bit of a "discussion" with my energy supplier that insists it was my gas meter that should have been replaced, not the electricity one. Well, it definitely says electricity in big orange letters at the top of the letter they sent. I may be getting on a bit but I can still read! Anyway, they've finally admitted their mistake so I'll book an appointment - just a bit cross as they could have been done at the same time.
@AA - I hope your throat/head improve for tomorrow's craft fair - maybe just ignore the housework for now?
@-taff - Domestic nonsense made me laugh.
Glad you got the mortgage sorted.
@TA - The insides of my windows are easily accessible (apart from the kitchen one) and I can just about manage the outsides of the downstairs ones but not upstairs. Sadly, window cleaners around here seem to be as rare as hen's teeth - I did have one who came precisely once!
@Coxy - Well done on getting coat #3 of paint on. Good luck with your fund raising events tomorrow.
@Ruby - Glad to hear the drying man arrived, even if he was a tad earlier than expected, and that you had a good day with Matt. Happy Birthday to your DD too.
Take care all, have as good a day as you can. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
