    1) yes but irrelevant

    2) read the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements

The N180 is next,  when the CNBC are back in work and ready to post it to you,  possibly this month

After that is mediation,  so study other similar cases and understand the process and slow timelines

The stages will happen,  at their pace,  work permitting

Nothing will happen before next week at the earliest

Hey all. I replied to the N180 with my details and now DCBL are calling me weekly leaving voicemails to get in touch "urgently". I am guessing I am under no obligation to get in touch and that this is a desperate attempt of them to try to get me to pay any monies before it gets to the mediation call or even court?

Should I call them and just bluntly tell them I won't pay a penny and will see them in court our should I just keep ignoring?

    Many thanks

Hey all, had the mediation call this week and got told that the actual breach of contract they're after is not the 2h period that at the time was 3h, but the fact that I went past the allowed parking time and left 30min past the time, when I was allowed to be there for 10min.

They first offered a reduction of £160 and then £100.

I refused as, even though I mentioned it was me driving, the tall signs, low amount of light given that it was December and dark, and the small print in the sign wasn't clear enough for me to understand the sign. Also the charge on "Notice to Keeper" wasn't clear enough on what breach I committed as it said "overstayed maximum time period allowed".

I told the mediation call handler that I'd see them at court as, if it is for me to pay, I rather have a judge deeming my parking as unlawful after I give my evidence.

Now, I'm more inclined to believe a judge would be favourable towards them as probably they'll mention that I must've made sure I could read every single detail as thoroughly as possible as I accepted the contract when I parked.

I know they now have to pay the court fees and actually go ahead with it, but based on the evidence I am guessing I'll be coughing out nearly £300.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

"I'm more inclined to believe a judge would be favourable towards them"

There won't be a hearing. No judge.

"I know they now have to pay the court fees and actually go ahead with it, but based on the evidence I am guessing I'll be coughing out nearly £300."

You guess wrong, this won't get to a hearing as DCB Legal always discontinue.

Did you miss the part in the NEWBIES thread post 2 that tells you the worst case scenario, if you lose in court, is likely £212?

Did you also miss the over 800 discontinuance example links in @Umkomaas' DCB Legal thread?!

    @Coupon-mad

    title changed ✔️

Yes, I read about the discontinuations and the threats being carried out up to very last minute and then they don't pay court fees and it doesnt go ahead. I suppose their reputation would suffer more with people going to news outlets saying they didn't pay then them going to court.

Just bear with as I never took it this far and understandably I'm a bit apprehensive. More annoyed than apprehensive tbh hence me be totally willing to actually go to court.

Hey all, hope this finds you well.

Received a "Notice of Transfer of Proceedings" to my local county court.

I am guessing that now the court will list the case and then Euro Car Parks Ltd will have to pay the fee for the case to go ahead?

If I remember well they'll keep on pushing and then won't pay the court fees and doesn't get to be heard?

I am guessing this is still normal process being followed?
