Cinch - anyone had recent experience with them

I live in a rural area and was wondering about using Cinch for a new car (not new new!) just wondering about peoples experiences - I have had a look at one or two complaints but can't see anything recent or anything positive?

One of my colleagues recently bought a car from Cinch and hasn't had any issues but you need to remember, what they sell isn't of a standard quality. They are after all used cars and two are very rarely the same.
They obviously try to preempt issues with vehicles with checks but that will come at a cost to them, so just like any other source of used cars, bad ones get through.
This is an area you need to feel comfortable with, what can you do if you do get a bad one?
Are you happy with their policies on things like this if they end up with you jumping through a lot of hoops to get things sorted?1 -
They are basically just an online second hand car dealership. I haven't used them, mainly because I like to go look at a range of cars before deciding what I want. I would also want a physical place to go if I had any issues. The same reason I wouldn't buy from somewhere a 100 miles away. Apparently Cinch can be difficult to contact as well.1

They are part of We buy any car and British car auctions so presumably they cream off the best cars before putting the rest through auction.1

I'm having issues with them, just posted regarding this. Honestly, I would avoid using them if you could. Everything runs smoothly with the purchase but after that, they just aren't interested.1

Thanks, very helpful replies, as I said I am in a fairly rural area and there isn't the choice of dealers but all the points are valid and sensible so it's back to the drawing boardThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

I bought a car from them earlier this year, no issues with the car or any part of the process. A colleague has bought multiple cars from them, had an issue with one of them a few months ago after he had it a couple of months, they offered to fix it or he could return for a full refund, he opted for the repair, it was done at a main dealer, hire car for free whilst it was in. Everyone I know who has used them has only had positive experiences.1

Good question, I’ve seen a mix of experiences with current used‑car sellers like Cinch. Some people seem happy, but there are quite a few complaints out there about after‑sales service or the quality of used cars. If I were you, I’d try to check recent reviews from folks in rural areas, and maybe inspect any car thoroughly before committing. Would love to hear from anyone who’s used them recently.1
