These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the Marie Antoinette Style Free Prize Draw at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Free Prize Draw is promoted by the Board of Trustees of the Victoria and Albert of Cromwell Road, London, SW7 2RL ("V&A").

Conditions of Entry

1. By entering the Free Prize Draw, you agree to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions and to comply fully with them.

2. The Free Prize Draw is open to residents of UK & Northern Ireland excluding employees of the V&A or its related subsidiaries and their families, agents, affiliates, or anyone involved in running the Free Prize Draw. By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so,

3. To enter the Free Prize Draw you must post a response to the question "Which country was Marie Antoinette queen of?" on @vamuseum Instagram account before the Closing Date 10.59 GMT 28th November 2025. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these competition Terms and Conditions.

4. Only one entry per person is permitted.

5. The Free Prize Draw concludes on 28th November 2025 at 10.59 GMT ("the Closing Date").

6. Only complete entries received by the Closing Date will be accepted. The V&A accepts no responsibility for any entries that are lost, incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach it by the Closing Date for any reason. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.

7. By entering the Free Prize Draw you confirm to the V&A that all information submitted by you is correct and that you have complied fully with these T&Cs. The V&A reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. Automated entries and entries via third parties or agents will be invalid. Entries that do not comply with these T&Cs (including those containing any false information) will be invalid.

The Free Prize Draw

8. The winner will be drawn at random from all complete entries received before the Closing Date. The decision of the V&A regarding any aspect of the Free Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

The Prize

9. The winner/s of the Free Prize Draw will be eligible to receive a Marie Antoinette Style exhibition book, tote bag, hair bow & fan.

10. In so far as permitted by law the V&A will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death in connection with the Free Prize Draw and use of the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the V&A, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

11. The winner will be notified no later than 5th December 2025 via the Instagram direct messaging service.

12. The winners must claim the prize within 10 working days of the V&A sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse, and the V&A may (but shall not be obliged to) offer the unclaimed prize to a runner up selected in accordance with these T&Cs.

13. The prize is non-transferable, and the winner cannot request any alternative prize (cash or otherwise).

14. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the V&A reserves the right to (a) substitute the prize with an alternative; and (b) cancel, modify, extend or suspend the Free Prize Draw.

15. All details and other restrictions applying to the prize not specified in these T&Cs shall be determined by the V&A in its sole discretion.

16. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these T&Cs, the V&A may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition.

17. V&A reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time.

18. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Publicity and Data Protection

19. The V&A must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the V&A will send the surname and county of the winner to anyone who emails social@vam.ac.uk within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.

20. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the V&A at social@vam.ac.uk. In such circumstances, the V&A must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

21. By entering the Free Prize Draw, you consent to the use of your personal data by the V&A for the purposes of administration of the Free Prize Draw. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the V&A which may include the publication of your name and photograph in any media.
