Hope everyone is ok. 

I should be getting up as I am invigilating for a couple of hours this morning - have been battling a sore throat for a few days and just trying to enjoy a cup of tea to soothe it. 

You’ll be pleased to know that the false teeth have been returned to their owner! Apparently he can talk better without them (hence why they were in his pocket!) - still don’t know how they ended up on the drive though. 

Did some Christmas shopping with DM yesterday afternoon - only two shops but it was relatively quiet which was good.

Morning Scarlett and all to follow,

Dry here and not frosty so doesn’t feel as cold. I am off to see Matt today and the plan is that I will take him to his horse riding alone as long as he is quite calm when I get there, I have also said that we will pop into my house for a cup of tea, I have been promising him this for a while, hopefully it will go ok 🤞

Dinner tonight will be sausage mash and veg, dd is off today so she will cook, tomorrow is her Birthday and we had planned a shopping trip and lunch out with wine, we were going to get the train, unfortunately we have had to cancel as the work will be starting on the utility room and the new wm is being delivered, we will have a takeaway in the evening instead.

I am going to put a complaint in with the wm company once it’s delivered, the whole thing has taken a month to sort out with countless phone calls and emails, it’s really not good service. The new machine will be working overtime all weekend, we have managed to keep on top of it but there is still a backlog.

I have also changed energy providers, they emailed yesterday to say they were putting our payment up to £209 per month 😳 we are very careful with what we use and the heating has only been on for a couple of weeks, so I have gone for a fixed price deal for 18 months, these energy prices are getting ridiculous.

Morning all  - it's been a very wild night outside, high winds and driving rain. Still dark so I can't tell but it's quiet.

The past two days have been difficult, I think it's the new ABs wiping me out, I've slept for most of them. Today I feel more human (so far). @AA I hope that your scratchy throat goes soon.

This morning I'm off down the peninsula for hair cut and colour. I was on the verge of postponing it last night then decided to wait until the morning.  The lovely hairdresser can easily fill the 90 minutes if I had.

Morning all

Feeling slightly warmer this morning, only slightly though!

Nothing planned for today except some mopping and dusting downstairs. 

Now we've had a larger radiator put in the living room we've had to find somewhere else to put the Christmas tree

so we've bought a 'slimmer' one.  Will set it up later to see if it will fit in it's new home.  That's my excitement of the day!

Morning everyone scarlet you haven’t borrowed my brain by any chance . AA hope your throat feels better soon GERS I could do with a colour on my hair but I’m to lazy to do it every time I colour it I always think well that was quick I wish I had done it sooner but I never do hope you feel better soon. I’m going to meet my friend soon for a coffee and a catch up then I’m straight to get my eyebrows done I want to give my friend in hospital a quick ring before I go out to find out how the never ending saga is going on it’s a week today she still hasn’t had anything to eat as she keeps been sick but they put her on a drip yesterday as they have decided she’s dehydrated but she still hasn’t got a sling she now has bed sores her daughter was going in yesterday to try and sort something out . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  At 6.00 this morning it was about 12 deg higher than yesterday at that time when it was minus 2 deg. It's for one day only unfortunately.

I have had a hankering for a minced beef pie all week so I got mince out to defrost o/n and made pastry this morning. I used to make them a lot back in the day but not made any for ages.. The mince is currently cooking nicely so making the pies will be my next job. One will be left out for my dinner and the rest put in the freezer.

I made a start on the window cleaning yesterday as planned  but only got as far as the back ones. The bigger front ones are still waiting, so maybe they will get done today. Or maybe they won't!! 

My C present stash has grown slightly, thanks to a couple of deliveries yesterday. I ordered DD and her DP a gift voucher for the lovely Spa they like to go to now and then, when funds permit! Eldest DGD wanted trainers so I ordered a gift card for her for JDSports. I'm getting there slowly but still need more stocking fillers when I cba trailing round the shops.

Well pie making calls so must stop waffling. Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Plus poorly friends and OH's. Thinking of you SO. I understand just how you are feeling. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning All

Thaks for the start Scarlet, shame you've lost your post.

Wild weather this morning, driving rain and strong wind, I think there's a wather warning for the wind later today and overnight. I slept solidly for 7 hours last night!

Busy day yesterday, DD phoned to say that her WM wasn't working so I went to collect the washing and did 3 loads here, managed to get 2 dry and took it back yesterday afternoon after I had met her for a short shopping trip. Stayed for my dinner which was lovely and got to play with the little one for a while before it was bath time.

Taking the dog for a walk this morning, not sure how far she will go as it's a bit wet for her! Must also go to M&S foodhall for some pressies and a birthday card, need one for a 1 year old and bought one for a 2 year old yesterday!!

Hope your friend is more comfortable Izzy, what a terrible time she's had.
I too would put in a complaint Ruby, that's shocking service.
Glad you're a bit more comfortable Gers, your body must need the rest.
Pleased to hear the teeth have been reunited with their owner Allie!

Morning everyone
Seems milder here but it's windy. I really enjoyed Wicked for Good yesterday, after it I popped into Boots and got a few small gifts, to go with gift vouchers. Then I got the bus a bit further out of town and got some shopping - I didn't need much as I've a Tesco delivery on Sunday. Then the bus home again and went over to my friends for a cuppa.
I'm going to do some present wrapping this morning, I'm not going to let anything distract me! I have little one after school so she can finish making her mummys Christmas presents - I replaced the very difficult dream catcher we were attempting with a much easier wooden one and a pack of gems!
Right I'm going to wish you all a good day and switch this laptop off x

Morning all. Had a busy day yesterday, long walk with DH and Ldog in the morning and ending with a round trip of 40 odd miles or so to the coast for a special match DGS was playing in. Luckily the club has good facilities and we could get some food.Awful night for it though with wind and rain!

We had some bad news earlier in the week as an old friend has passed away.He had been ill for some time, but was one of DH quiz night buddies, and I went to school with him

Delivery coming soon, might just have time to do the dog walk but it is raining which he's not keen on, we'll see.I havent caught up on yesterdays news, will do that when I get back. Take care all
