Recover cost of paying a carer against my Tax (through PAYE)

I have a disabled wife who cannot be left alone without a carer; I am her full time carer. I also have a seasonal job which gives me a welcome break from this full-time caring where I am taxed on my earnings through PAYE. I will have to pay for a replacement carer as a necessary cost of going to work. Can I claim this cost against my earnings from this employment?

No you can't. Same way a working parent can't claim the cost of a baby sitter..
Surprised you would earn enough to pay tax on a seasonal job?0 -
You can only earn £196 per week after allowances. I know that you can average over a month (£849.33 per month) but am unsure if you can do seasonal and average over a year. (£10,192 per year)
If you earn one penny over the £196 per week or £849.33 per month you are not eligible for carers allowance.
Carers allowance is £83.30 per week and is taxable income. (£4331.60 per year)
Therefore it is possible for a carer to have to pay tax.
