Pension savings credit and earnings

When I became eligible for pension savings credit, I declared all of my income including anything I earned through completing surveys. My accounts had to be checked. I do a few studies on Prolific Academic and it does pay well for the time spent. I was just wondering, when I calculate my earnings, should I take into account the expenses? A lot of studies ask for a fast and steady internet connection and a desktop or laptop computer and I have to pay for all of this. In years gone by when my husband was alive, we did get an allowance for BT expenses. I know a lot of people don't declare their side hustles, but it is a legal requirement, and the money will have to be paid back if it's not declared.
Don't mess with pensioners.

Are the desktop/laptop and Internet connection used solely for surveys and you have a separate computer and Internet connection for non survey related work/browsing?
