CCJ on credit file

So in april 2025 i received a parking ticket while collecting something from an apartment building. I was parked in front of a big sign that said "for deliveries park here". And another sign that said "Contractors parking here need to register with reception". I was served a ticket by UKPC and following advice from here ignored the letters sent to my address at the time (lets call this address number 2). I didn't hear anything else and have since moved house (address 3). still no letters or contact.

Fast forward to today, on 11th nov 2025 i had a CCJ filed for £283 based on this ticket. The details of this case after contacting the courts have been sent to a seperate address again (address 1).

Now, I moved out of address 1 in 2022. address 2 i was in from 2022 to 2025 and address 3 i was in for the last 6 months. The car was bought mid way through living at address 2, has never been registered or tied to address 1 and ukpc have already written to address 2 (which has mail forwarding to address 3).

I've been told by the courts its over £300 to file an n244. I'm a little unsure as to where i should go with this.

Its a default CCJ due to using the old address,  we have seen dozens or hundreds over the years

Study the CCJ advice in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad,  especially regarding the £313 N244 set aside option

Also read half a dozen CCJ cases on here over the last 2 years, to understand the process

What is the actual date of the CCJ ?  Is it dated 11th November  ?

    Your options are

    1) pay in full within 30 days of the CCJ date  ( I assume to DCB LEGAL  )

    2) obtain a with consent set aside,  these cost over £100

    3) obtain a contested set aside , costing £313

    4) negotiate a settlement figure with DCB LEGAL by email and pay it ASAP

Option 4 is a new option for those with default CCJ,s

Yes, the ccj is dated 11th Nov 2025
  • Are your driving licence and log book up to date address-wise?
  • I'm writing to you regarding the above case. The address of BLANK 1 hasn't been in use since 2022. It is not the last known address, is not the current address and is an old address that precedes the purchase of the car in question (ie. it has never been linked to this car via v5c). I request that the address of BLANK 1 is ERASED from all of your records and any correspondence be sent to the current address of:

    NEW ADDRESS HERE

With regards to the claim itself. The photo's and evidence supplied massively misrepresent the situation. As you can see from the marked drawing (with car location marked in red and UNDISCLOSED signage marked in green) the car was parked nowhere near to the signage supplied in the claim (signage that is in fact next to a defibrillator and in front of the electronic gated entranceway at the very bottom of the access road). As can be seen in the pictures provided by yourselves the vehicle is parked at the top of the ramp near the main road and as such the closest signage is as supplied via attached images.

One set of UKPC signage says that terms and conditions apply and to see notices within the car park. This car park is locked off and gated with no access to view any signs or terms and conditions. The next piece of ukpc signage states that deliveries in that area are allowed for 15 minutes and further specifies that contractors are to register with reception. As someone collecting a large 3d printer from within the building from our companies rented apartment the contractor terms don't apply. The largest and most prominent signage simply states "PLEASE PARK HERE FOR DELIVERIES". The signage displayed literally says deliveries (and therefore collections) are allowed.

During the phone call it was explained that as no response was received regarding the letters addressed to BLANK 2, the address of BLANK 1 was attempted (despite this address showing on credit file as unused since 2022). This information is also incorrect as the emails sent regarding the notice on 02/06/2025 and the subsequent replies on 10/06/25 and 11/06/2025 would prove the address was receiving the notices.

I've been advised to fill out form n244 to set aside the CCJ considering the inappropriate use of an old address and the lack of due diligence when making the claim.

If applying for a notice to set aside the cost will be £303 unless you agree to set aside the CCJ, in which case it will cost £123.

Please consider both the details in this email that have been omitted to yourselves by UKPC and new vic (the landowner) as well as the extra costs to be claimed back upon losing the case when making a decision on how to proceed.

I am fully prepared to defend this claim as the terminology of "PLEASE PARK HERE FOR DELIVERIES" on the largest and most prominent signage is beyond dispute.

    Kind regards

  • i've got that typed up along with supporting photos ready to send to dcb legal. Is it worth sending that and seeing what comes back regarding point 4 in Gr1pr's post?

driving license is registered to parents address and v5c was registered to address number 2 and my current address. v5c and license were never assigned to the address theyve used for court proceedings
