Hi,
I bought a fridge freezer in May 2023 for my kitchen from Currys PC World.
It is an expensive model - I paid around £800 and it was reduced from £1000 at the time.
I have noticed that the seals on the freezer part have split. This is 6 months after the standard warranty has ran out.
I feel that this isn't satisfactory and I plan to contact the retailer on this as I understand that the contract is with them.
What is the best way to go about this. Call/email Currys PC World and explain first?
Thanks in advance

Door seals are subject to wear and tear and are easy to remove and replace.1

Is the split actually causing a functional issue or just an aesthetic one?muggin5 said:Hi,

As the item is over 6 months old it's up to you to evidence that the seals have failed prematurely and not due to any of your actions.
The door seal for our fridge was £33 and simple to fit; it may be simpler to simply replace it than to pay for an engineers report which may or may not support your case0
