Will it affect my credit file if I don't pay a concert ticket payment plan?

Can anybody help with this? I bought a concert ticket on a payment plan through AXS ticketing online yesterday and I've realised I can't go.  I haven't received any information on the payment schedule or t&cs about the plan. It did show the plan at the time of order, and there was a 3% credit charge added, but I didn't read through everything because of the time limit on holding the ticket. I've had an email covering the rules around resale, transfer and refunds for the actual ticket having to be done through AXS. But nothing about what happens if I don't pay for the ticket in full. I don't care about losing the deposit, but if I don't need to pay, and I won't get in trouble for not paying, then I won't.

You need to email them and ask but if you can get out of it unlikely you will get a refund of anything already paid.
  • From what I gather the instalment arrangement would be a choice of Klarna or Paypal, which option did you take? I believe Klarna do report 'pay in 3' to the CRA's.

PayPal seem to do the same, it appears.

No, it wasn't any of those. It's a day festival thing, and it's just paying for the ticket in installments before the event, which is 8 months away. I don't get the ticket if I don't pay it all. But it's no refunds, and transfers/resales have to be through them once ticket paid in full. That's why I'm unsure

I don't want a refund of what I've paid, I'm happy to pay it. But I'm thinking it might be like paying for a holiday in installments, because I don't get the ticket until 2 weeks before the gig, which isn't until August next year

You can email them to ask, that's what I'd do.

With those you get the goods before you pay though, and this is a prepay for something I won't get until summer next year

Was it a personal credit card you used, or business?  Because it's been illegal for some time now to impose a surcharge for paying by personal credit card.

It'll be the credit charge for paying by instalments, not for paying by card.

It was for the payment plan. I paid by debit card. There was a transaction fee, and a service fee, as well as the credit fee in the total price.
