  • It's Skoda. The sales guy was out yesterday, I haven't spoken to him yet. I am sure he will an answer and will offer to put it right. But had I known from the offset that I was buying from a garage that misrepresented mileage like this then I wouldn't have proceeded. I absolutely don't trust them anymore

It's definitely not buyers remorse, I really like the car, it's exactly what I wanted.

Doesn't mater what it is really OP, car does not match the description, it can't be repaired or replaced so you are either entitled to reject for a refund or keep it with a price reduction, your choice.

The price reduction should be the difference between what was paid and what was given, 6k in milage probably doesn't make that much difference on a 7 grand car (unless you find examples online of same car in similar condition to reference).

If you want to keep the car some negation might get you some money for tyres and alignment. If you are concerned about there being an underlying condition get the car inspected before shaking hands on an agreement over the discrepancy.

You have 30 days to exercise the short term right to reject, after that you may still reject but deduction for use kicks in.
